Feeling positive: Why it's good to be different.

Updated: Nov 12, 2019

In a world that celebrates conformity, stand out.

We live in #world where being liked is more #important than being #ourselves. Being agreeable is rewarded, #challenging opinion is not. Where new ideas were once invited, a #culture of conformity has replaced it.

Some of the most #influential people in human history were not conformists, and they certainly didn’t chase popularity. #Jesus Christ, #Gandhi and Martin Luther #King were all guided by an inner light and were hardly concerned with the amount of #likes they got.

I am absolutely convinced beyond doubt that those of us who are #unusual#unconventional and don’t fit in could be potentially the most #intelligent and #innovative among us. It takes a high level of confidence and self assurance to stand apart from the pack.

History has demonstrated time after time that it is not the average #majority that changes our #world but rather the #unique and #unexplainable #outliers - those who #think and #act differently and are #prepared to be labelled as #crazy.

So dare to be #different. Express your views fully. Ignore the #haters and embrace your individuality. The #world needs you now more than ever.
